HOW TO GET THE RIGHT SIZE FOR YOUR TABLES

Measure it Right

If you are setting up round tables for your party, you can just simply get the circumference of your tables. You can do this by multiplying the diameter or the width of your table by 3.14 ( width x 3.14). The result will be the size of the table skirt you need.
For rectangular tables, getting the right size will be based on how many sides you plan to skirt. You may opt to skirt 3 or 4 sides depending on the setup and the size of the tables you will be using.
These formulas will let you know the right size of skirts for your rectangular tables:
3 sides skirting: 2W + L = Right Table Skirt Size
4 sides skirting: 2W + 2L = Right Table Skirt Size
The most commonly used rectangular size tables for weddings, banquets, and events are 8 feet long folding tables. In inches, the dimension of these tables is 96 inches long x 30 inches wide. You may also be using an extra-wide 8 feet banquet tables that are 36 inches wide or narrow tables which measure 18 and 24 inches. For narrow tables, guests would seat only on one side of the table.

Other things to consider when skirting tables are the size and types of clips you are using. Table clips are usually small plastic or metal that are attached to the edges of your tables. Their main purpose is to secure your table skirts in place. Most of them come with a strip of velcro for easy attachment. Very easy to use! Simply clip over your tablecloths and press the velcro strip of the skirt and the clip against each other and you are all set.
Measure the edge of your tables. The thickness will help you determine the correct clip size you need for the complete setup. Tabletops are usually 1 to 3 inches thick but still, it will be better to measure the ones you will be using as table thickness varies.
